Introduction of the Website
Wildyaks was established in July 2011 in Canada. Our organization's main purpose is the preservation and promotion of Tibetan children’s education. At the same time, Wildyaks also opened a website to the public. Our main hope for this website is to give linguistic and culture supports to the Tibetan children who are scattered around the world.
Language is the number one distinguisher of identity for different groups of people. In order to preserve a language there needs to be contemporary resources and services to provide materials and instruments to parents and their children. Therefore, our goal is to provide traditional and modern children’s stories along with illustrations, videos, cartoons, story telling on video and children’s songs and much more in the Tibetan language.
The other purpose of this website is to set up a place for concerned individuals, scholars, specialists and professionals to discuss the importance of preservation and promotion of language and culture. This is a place to exchange ideas and experiences. This is also a place to introduce new materials and a place to preserve the language of Tibet.
Wildyaks' aim is to create materials and post these resources on our website for different ages of children, and for different levels of Tibetan language learners. Other materials that we are not able to introduce online we will aim to distribute to Tibetan communities through individuals, organizations and even government agencies.
In reality, Wildyaks is just like a newly born baby, it is in its beginning but has beautiful dreams and a deep vision. Wildyaks has an unshakable determination, a pure dedication and aims to provide the best medium to meet the needs of the scattered Tibetan communities around the world. The long-term vision of Wildyaks is to become one of the global resource centers for Tibetan children’s educational materials.
